Our Story

Proplexa was founded by a real estate operator who experienced firsthand how difficult it can be to find reliable property management.

While running a property management company, it became clear that property owners often struggled with:

poor communication
unclear pricing structures
lack of transparency
difficulty comparing management companies

At the same time, many highly capable property management companies struggled to consistently find new clients.

The industry lacked a neutral platform that could connect both sides in a structured and transparent way.

So Proplexa was created.

Our Founders

James Duerr

Founder, Proplexa

James Duerr is an entrepreneur and real estate operator with experience building ventures across real estate services, technology platforms, consumer products, and international trade.

He founded Medellín Concierge, a property management company focused on short- and mid-term rentals, where he developed operational systems for property acquisition, pricing strategy, guest services, and owner relations.

Prior to launching Proplexa, James worked in real estate development at BACH Development, where he managed development projects from planning through completion while coordinating contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders. His experience operating a property management company firsthand exposed the inefficiencies property owners face when selecting management partners, which ultimately led him to create Proplexa, a marketplace designed to make property management discovery transparent and competitive.

Edrik Cruz

Co-Founder, Proplexa

Edrik Cruz is an entrepreneur focused on venture development, strategic partnerships, and market expansion. He has founded and operated businesses across real estate transactions, sales, and service industries, building operational frameworks for deal sourcing, client acquisition, and business development.

In addition to his entrepreneurial work, Edrik has participated in multiple ventures spanning digital media production, industrial services, and startup initiatives. His background also includes leadership and public speaking roles focused on entrepreneurship and youth leadership. At Proplexa, Edrik contributes to business development strategy and market positioning as the platform expands its presence in the real estate industry
